Hi, welcome to my blog! My name is Neenuh, and this is my way of letting the entire world know I exist. What exactly is my gimmick, you might ask? Nothing, really. I like making things and posting about them online every now and then. Perhaps you'd like to stick around?
I started blogging back in 2004, as a way of expressing my random self. It was pretty much an online diary, wherein I spewed mundaneness on every post. Ahh, good times. After a couple (Ok, I am lying here. I meant, a bajillion) of name changes and web designs, I finally moved everything to my very own web domain, and I have had this space to myself since 2009.
I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Not too long ago, my family and I moved to Northern California. I am a Special Ed Teacher, and I hold a Master of Arts degree in Special Education. I am currently teaching high functioning autism students in middle school. If I am not busy preparing lesson plans, holding meetings or finalizing IEPs, I am most likely making something.
I loved my childhood. My childhood involved catching bugs, climbing trees, making up games and toys with my friends, playing hide-and-seek under the moonlit sky, riding the bicycle around the the neighborhood, and swimming. Lots of swimming. Most of the time I am child-like - alive, carefree, gullible, trusting, and blunt. I like to learn things the hard and painful way. Such precociousness, you might say.
I like engaging myself in challenging activities. My tolerance for frustration is high, but my threshold for pain is low. I am a lot more conservative than I'd like to admit. I think life is beautiful, and the world is such an amazing place. I eat meat because it tastes hella good, especially when grilled.
I really like old school, and I find humor in tragedy. I like my coffee black. I can pick up things with my toes, and I can sneeze for more than ten times non-stop. I am interesting, I know. I find a lot of things dumb, and most of the time, I end up doing a lot of those things I consider dumb. Oh, did I mention I am smart too? Smarter than the average bear, in fact. At times I can't stand my own idiosyncrasies. Imagine, I have been living with myself for over 30 years now. It's a tough life.
Here are some of the things I like: alphabetizing, arts and crafts, baking, beach, beaded jewelries, blog-lurking, books, butterflies, candies, celestial bodies, chocolate cake, coffee, cooking, cuddling, dancing, dingbats, fonts, gerberas, hammocks, ice cream, internet, ladybugs, mangoes, Nintendo DS, photography, playing my guitar, rainy days, road trips, scrapbooking, See's Candies, stand-up comedy, strawberries, sunsets, Super Mario, tulips, Twix, ventriloquism, web-designing... I think pink is such a pretty color, but salmon is a lot prettier. And contrary to popular belief, I do love my long, wavy hair and the color of my skin. I just wish my hips weren't huge.
I live for love and I will die for it.

At the moment I am working out a bug in this proggie I created: how to have physical contact through internet. Omg, you didn't think that was possible, did you? Well, you heard it first here in my site. Remember that.

FAQs
This is really awesome stuff. Who designed your website?
Why, me, of course! Actually, I did all the creating and designing, for both the layout and HTML coding, while my husband, Felix, did the installing of the WordPress plug-ins and "cleaning" of my HTML codes.I really like your layout! How did you create it?
I'm glad someone likes my layout! I created this layout using scrapbooking elements from different digital scrapbook kits. I used Photoshop CS3 to manipulate the scrapbook elements, and Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 for the HTML coding. How long have you been scrapbooking?
I have been a paper scrapbooker since I was a kid. Back then, I used stickers, stationeries, magazine cut-outs, old postage stamps, gift wrappers, and all sorts of flat things I could stick on to the album pages! I started using acid-free, lignin-free and archival quality scrapbooking materials when I learned about them in 2000. As for digi-scrapping, well, I am relatively new to it.What program do you use for digi-scrapping?
I use Photoshop CS3.Do you sell your beaded jewelry?
Yes, I sell them, but not online. How can I order your beaded jewelry?
Unfortunately, you can't order online, and I don't ship my stuff. Maybe in the near future. Or not.Why is your website called thisisabrowngirl.com?
Because brown is gorgeous. So, why not?Website Info
